Cindy La Cour, CCR, RMR

“Hello, and welcome to Gulf Reporting.  Thank you for your interest.   In 2005, after twenty years in the court reporting industry, I decided to start my own firm with a commitment to integrity and competence, bringing quality to all client relationships.  Well, this year we’re celebrating our tenth anniversary of doing just that.   I’m proud of my firm and even more proud of the relationships we’ve been able to build over the years.  I am thankful to all the clients that put their trust in us, and I look forward to the opportunity to be of service to you.”

Sincerely,
Cindy

Since she began in 1983, Cindy Rogers La Cour has proven she’s got the credentials and seriousness of purpose which has propelled her to the top levels of her profession.   From the beginning, Cindy recognized the value of belonging to her professional associations.  She’s currently a member of the National Court Reporters Association, and both the Louisiana and Mississippi state associations.

As a lifelong learner and self-challenger, Cindy didn’t rest after earning her Associate’s Degree from Southern Illinois University, but continued in her quest for professional achievement.  She became a Louisiana Certified Shorthand Reporter in 1983, then passed NCRA’s Registered Professional Reporter examination, and continued on to achieve the high-speed Registered Merit Reporter certificate in 1991.  That’s an impressive 260 words a minute at 95% accuracy!  Holding the RMR credentials elevates her to a small but elite group of reporters capable of such proficiency.

Volunteering comes naturally to Cindy La Cour.  She believes that students are our future.  As expressed by the old adage, she might not know what the future holds, but she knows who holds the future.  And that’s students.  Cindy demonstrated that commitment recently by donating a machine to a student in need, assuring that that student could continue in her court reporting program.

It’s the tough jobs where Cindy shines.  Multiple realtime hookups, difficult terminology, expert witnesses, and public hearings have her name written on them…literally. Cindy’s provided reporting services in technical subject matter multi-district litigation depositions and trials, and since 2004 she’s reported the Louisiana Pilotage Fee Commission Hearings in Baton Rouge.

Cindy is the consummate pro.
